Mok’tringar’s name is orcish from the words Mok-Thorin’ogar [son of enemy’s death]. It was an orcish way to indicate cutting off the strength of one’s enemies by severing their bloodline, their future and securing your own. In that sense, we see Mok’tringar isn’t completely evil, but like many, they justify the ends to the means. Mok’tringar rose to power in the confusion and aftermath of the Siege of Orgrimmar. Watching his own order slaughtered under Garrosh’s purge drove him to never again be weak – the Legion offered that promise for a price.
